Windows 8 Could Get an App Store And Cloud Computing

We've heard a few things about Windows 8 over the last few months which included details such as the next gen OS from Microsoft [MSFT] being 128 bit. One of the new rumours, coming from a leaked roadmap, indicates that Microsoft will be shifting emphasis a little more towards cloud computing allowing users to work with their documents online making them accessible from anywhere.

We also hear that a Windows 8 App Store could be launched that would allow users to more easily grab and download applications. It isn't clear what type of apps will be available but with faster download speeds on the internet it could be possible to download pretty much anything you want direct from the app store. The app store could also tie in with Tablet based computers that Microsoft is working on. Being able to grab apps on your desktop, mobile and tablet could be what links all the three-screens together so to speak. Windows 7 has had a positive impact when compared to the likes of Vista which seemed like a flop. Lets see if Windows 8 can add even more to the success. This time around there will be more competition by the likes of Chrome OS though.
