Microsoft Office Is Now Available As Web Application

Microsoft finally launched the awaited Office web application officially after it tested it through the technical preview it offered to a large group of users over the past few months. It means if you have a Windows live account then you can access Microsoft Office web version on your browser now. You can upload office documents online, create new document, edit it and share with your friends. The storage space needed is provided by Skydrive. It’s 25 GB in total, which should be sufficient for most of us. Obviously, the web version isn’t as feature-rich and effective as the desktop version but if you use Google Docs and miss the web interface of Microsoft Office then you might consider switching to office live. Currently this feature is available only for US, UK, Canada and Ireland visitors. To use this account you should have Windows Live ID. If you don’t belong to these countries then you can access Microsoft Office Web Apps by clicking here (Available in English language only).
